Let's talk
Community.
Giving back to the community and supporting local causes has always been an essential part of my values both personally and professionally. I'm proud to say that through a series of local events over the past five years we have $175,000 for Birchway Niagara & the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. These organizations support local survivors and raise awareness about the importance of addressing domestic violence on a national level.
In October 2025, I’ll be heading to the other side of the globe to participate in the Cambodia Challenge for Shelter!

This will be my 3rd trek for Shelter & I need your help! For 5 days, I’ll be trekking alongside like-minded colleagues from coast to coast all in support of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. While my trek towards the picturesque temples of Angkor Wat will be immensely rewarding, it will not be easy! Days will be long, hot, and humid and jet lag will be intense. I will be going without the comforts of home, sleeping in a small tent, using rustic bathroom facilities and unplugging completely from cell service and technology. For those that know me, I am not a camper, I don't love sweating & the thought of being disconnected from my phone is a feat in & of itself.
As with all of my previous trekking, to be eligible to take part, I will pay my own trek and travel expenses and must raise at least $6,000 for the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. Over the last 5 years, I have raised over $175,000 through local events for this cause & for 2025 I will be setting a goal of $60,000. Of the funds I raise, 80% will be directed to our local shelter - Birchway Niagara and 20% will fund national domestic violence prevention programs.
I know the adventure ahead will test me both physically and emotionally, but I’ve raised my hand because I believe that a house is only a home when the people who live there feel safe. As I face this challenge, I will draw strength knowing that every dollar I raise and every kilometre I walk will help make it easier for women and children to find the safety, hope and healing they deserve.
Will you join me by making a donation towards my fundraising goal?
Please click 'Donate Now' on the right-hand side of the page to help me reach my fundraising goal!
Thank you for your support! Please note: The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation issues tax receipts in February for all donations of $20 or more made in the previous calendar year.

Birchway Niagara
In 2023 when Women’s Place changed its name to Birchway Niagara. While the core of Birchway’s services continue to protect and empower women and children impacted by abuse, the new inclusive name represents a growing understanding that abuse is an issue that impacts everyone. It is also a problem that must be solved by everyone. As Birchway evolves and grows, we will work toward addressing the root causes of abuse, engaging members of our community regardless of their race, age, gender, sexuality or economic status.
RLP Shelter Foundation
Table fees from vendors, entrance fees, and raffle ticket proceeds, will all go towards Operation $29k. Through this initiative, 80% of the funds raised will be used locally to support these organizations. The remaining 20% of the funds will be directed towards national campaigns and education efforts aimed at ending domestic violence.
